resetting myself, letting go
my view of the world is constantly changing, both positively and negatively. when life is in full swing with work, chaos, stress and commitments, it feels so small, so constricted.
my lens is focused only on the tip of my nose, and nothing beyond, despite all the wonders and beauty of life waiting there to be seen and appreciated.
this is why taking time to remove ourselves, deconstruct ourselves, question and undermine ourselves is so important.
not to travel and have new experiences, not to run away from our problems, but to fully embrace them, fully feel and live them, and then be open to everything else beyond our small tiny world.
i'm more open again. i'm refreshed and reborn with a new smile and happiness that swells within me at sunshine and birds and children playing.
life is a lot better, even though its just as hard, when we're able to smile and laugh at ourselves, and sometimes all it really takes is changing our perception.
like Billie Holiday sings, 'ooh, what a lil' moonlight can do'
