what little offerings we can make
the more disconnected we are from nature, the more isolated and artificially wrapped in comfort, the more wasteful and entitled we become
it's amazing how none of the ancient traditions of wisdom and community teach entitlement.
Stewards, caretakers, pastors and shepherds, water keepers, guardians, all the roles we are meant to aspire to and build towards in our families and communities, all of them stressed and espoused the idea of loving compassion towards everything in our environment.
and yet, all we have now is me and I and all the Ego we've built up.
i wish i could say i've been making positive changes and doing my part, but of course i'm just as guilty and culpable.
but i do want to change.
little by little.
moment to moment.
we all can, can't we?
